«In the Eyes of Others»

03.06. – 05.06.2022

The exhibition «In the Eyes of Others» explores the influence of man-made infrastructure on the shaping of space, objects and memories in a landscape dominated by oil and agriculture.

Through role-playing games, videos, and installations, the exhibition encourages viewers to immerse themselves in a micro-universe that encompass everything from organic systems to objects, film, and sound. The exhibition seeks to push the boundaries between fact and fiction, nature, culture, and infrastructures.

«In the Eyes of Others» is a field report of Jæren through a series of experimental and performative visual narratives. It aims to visualize the intertwined relationship between human and non-human forms. These works are juxtapositions of past and present, near and far, large and small – with elements of fantasy as well as real historical references.

As a part of the exhibition you are invited to participate in a narrative game, led by the artist and Maïna Joner. Attendance is 50 NOK and you need to sign up in advance. Follow this link for more information: https://s17.no/by-shahrzad-malekian-and-maina-joner/?lang=en
