Anel
Hey
I am Anel!
I have been practicing graffiti since 2008, which has deeply influenced my artistic work and continues to inform my references. My primary field of research revolves around the interplay of written and visual languages. I incorporate movie quotes, poems, and lyrics from hip-hop, folk, and traditional music into my figurative drawings, sculptures ,paintings and installations. I aim in creating new compositions where words transcend their traditional meaning, and the visual impact exceeds that of images without text. Humor and puns are often seen in my artworks. I love cinema, wines, beers, food, Music, hiking , sports and good company.
I have participated in various artist residencies, murals festivals, and exhibitions both in Greece and internationally, including events such as the IBUG Festival, and the Biennale of Young Artists in Athens, Greece, among others. I consider myself a multidisciplinary artist. Since 2023, I have launched my own clothing brand (ONE UP TWO DOWN), collaborating frequently with other artists. Additionally, I have been organizing a graffiti festival in Greece and I have also been Co-organizer in Nowstalgism 2024 in Fanari Karditsa.

A distinctive feature of his work is the use of blue colour, which has become his artistic hallmark. His artistic practice includes mostly pen drawings on paper and murals on abandoned buildings in villages at the Greek countryside. He has participated in festivals and group exhibitions, showcasing his work in various art venues. His pieces are part of private collections in Greece and abroad. He is the organizer and curator of the “Nowstalgism” project, held in Fanari Karditsa, Greecewhich explores the connection between the past and the present.
As for the blue drawings, their style, simplicity and detail, which evoke a close,
private and silent relationship, we recognize elements oftradition, we feel the aura of the Greek countryside.
