The festival presents performance, film, and club – with a focus on creating a space for conversation and community. The grand, curatorial concept of the festival is —- lovely people presenting fun, boundary pushing, challenging, sexy, political art.
Hot House as arranger of this event mainly focus on experimental, time based art forms by womxn and queer artists and performers.
We have invited artists that we feel represents queer perspectives in their art practice, weather it is as persons or in their practice, or a combination of both. Through conversations with the artists and audience we will, amongst other topics, approach the term queer: What does it mean to have a queer art practice?
The festival will mainly take place at Nytorget 17, Stavanger, in the gallery of Studio17. Furthermore, we have invited the exciting club-concept ASTERISK from Bergen to close the festival with a queer club-night! See more info for the ASTERISK X HOT HOUSE CLUB here.
Hot House calls you to join in on the fun, the feelings, the love.

Please keep in mind that we are striving to create a safe space for womxn and queer people. This of course always applies at events at Studio17, and all events curated by Asterisk and by Hot House. We do not tolerate transphobia, homophobia, biphobia, xenophobia, racism, sexism or any form of discrimiation.
Participating in the festival as it unfolds at Studio17 is as usual free of charge.
The club night will have a symbolic CC (presale 100 NOK/doors 150 NOK) and the income goes toward supporting the running of the festival. However, we will not turn away people who want to be a part of this space due to lack of funds. Please send a DM to Studio17, Kaeto Sweeney or Marie M. Skretting if this applies to you.
