Raising Landscape

21.11. – 24.11.2013

Raising Landscape is a collaboration between Linn Rebekka Åmo and Hilde Franzen. The exhibition will consist of works made individually by each of the artists as well as collaborative works done during the stay in Stavanger.

About the artists:

In her projects Linn Rebekka Åmo toys with themes connected to structures of the society. She is interested in visual patterns that occurs while humans interact. With the use of abstract forms, structures and color she creates social landscapes in paintings and textile works. The elements in the landscapes reveals a narrative with possibilities and limitations in relationship and behaviour.

Hilde Frantzen works with textile installations and sculptures. Her work has long been about the construction of a world, a little different from our own. Kind of a parallel word that widens our own. Her worlds is often put together with something graphical that returns to our physical world. A tactile presence occurs.
Hilde has slowly and precisely conquered parts of this world, discovered new places in the universe, while excavated further and further in it. Like an explorer in her own fantasy.

Linn Rebekka Åmo lives and works in Bodø. Hilde Frantzen lives and works in Oslo.
